aBOUT ME
I have been creating art since childhood when drawing my own characters in their life settings provided hours of happy invention.....and I still derive great joy from studying children's drawings.

OIL PAINTING
I painted this scene in the open air in Achill Island, Co Mayo. The farmyard reminded me of wonderful holidays as a child on my grandparents' farm.
LUCKY
I am very lucky to have a job I love.....teaching!
And to be teaching art makes it even better.

I began by teaching in primary schools and following completion of a Masters and PhD am now teaching in third level initial teacher education. As well as teaching foundation art to pre-service primary teachers, we offer a visual arts major which students can choose to study for the entire BEd.
